Infectious diseases are challenging to identify immediately, in fact, in general, they are not identified until a person is showing symptoms and are later tested. This means that in the days or even weeks before symptoms occur, a person is more than likely leaving a trail of contagious germs all over. Not only is personal hygiene extremely important (washing your hands, not touching your face etc.) but preventative measures on larger scales are also necessary.

Different areas will of course require different methods of preventative measures, but in some of the more crucial areas such as hospitals, factories, pharmacies and commercial operations; proper protocols must be implemented in order to keep from cross-contamination or re-contamination. Although such germs cannot be seen by the human eye, it can be assumed that they can be anywhere a person can touch, cough or sneeze on and even float into the air landing in near areas that we do not consider. In general, we should take extra precautions to ensure less of a spread and more of a control. We are facing a situation in which we do not fully understand, but we do understand the importance of social mannerisms and social distancing that will prevent the spread of these contagious diseases as well as how critical it is to clean our areas and continue to work hard against contaminating others.

COVID-19 Update & Surface Wiping Guide

In light of all that is happening in our world today with the COVID-19 virus, Teknipure would like to communicate our own internal controls and safeguards to keep our staff healthy and our production continuous. Our production team operates in an ISO 5 cleanroom with very high air flow and filtration, while clothed in full PPE including face masks, operating in a low contagion risk environment.

Prior to beginning work, all operators receive a temperature check; if above 100.4℉, the employee must leave the facility and get tested for the virus. If anyone feels ill, they will be temperature checked, following the same protocol. We are frequently cleaning common surfaces (with our alcohol wet wipes) and all employees are embracing enhanced hand hygiene and washing frequency. To date, no one on staff is infected and we

1. Class 1 Cleanroom
In a Class 1 cleanroom, only 2.5 particles (larger than 0.5 micrometers each) are allowed per cubic meter of air. To put it in perspective, this class of cleanroom is, on average, 14 million times cleaner than the world outside your window.

2. Vacuum Chamber
A vacuum chamber is exactly as it sounds, a sealed enclosure where all the air has been pumped out. The resulting low-pressure is used by researchers to carry out physical experiments, or test mechanical devices without contamination by foreign bodies. 3. Fusion Reactor
At temperatures exceeding 15 million degrees Celsius (30,000 times hotter than the sun’s surface), it’s safe to say a fusion reactor is a guaranteed dust-free environment. 4.Large Hadron Collider
Ranking near the top as one of the “cleanest places on earth” is the world’s largest and highest-energy particle accelerator, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). This 17-mile-long collider took 10 years to complete and sits 600 feet beneath the French-Swiss border near Geneva. The collider was created to be a tool for physicists to test their theories about particle physics.
